Kids LessonsAges 3 to 15
Two ways for a child to learn: the Kids Club, a day on the snow with 4 children at most and one instructor, or a private lesson for your child alone or with brothers and sisters. Both are taught by instructors who teach children. Here is what your child's day looks like, told straight, before you book.
- they are new to skiing, or nearly. The club is mostly first-timers.
- they like being with other children. 4 at most, so nobody gets lost in the group.
- you want a whole day on the mountain for them, or a morning, while you ski yourselves.
- they already ski and want to go further than a first-timers' group will take them.
- they want to snowboard and are under 10. For them we suggest a private snowboard lesson rather than the club.
- they need to go at their own pace, faster or slower than other children.
- you want your own day and time. A private runs any day of the season; a club runs on the dates families ask for.
- 10:00 – 13:00 The first ski block. Gliding, the snowplough, stopping when they decide to, and games on the snow that teach the same things without feeling like a lesson.
- 13:00 Kids Club Morning children are collected here, by a parent, before lunch.
- 13:00 – 14:00 Lunch, supervised throughout. Give your child cash for it.
- 14:00 – 17:00 The second ski block: what the morning taught, on more runs, at a pace tired legs can hold.
- 17:00 Collected by a parent or guardian, when the lifts stop.
A child who is done before the end of the day stays with the instructor, who calls you. We have no rest room for children, so a tired child is collected early.
- Helmet is mandatory (bring your own or rent)
- We use special safety harnesses and ropes
- Kid-friendly slopes: "Soliko 2" and "Kikilo 1"
- Each child wears colored vest for easy identification
- One instructor per 4 children maximum
- Skis, boots and a helmet, on your child at the meeting point. A child who rents at our shop gets a helmet with it at no extra cost.
- Rent the afternoon before. Equipment collected in the afternoon is charged from the next day, and a morning queue eats into the lesson.
- A ski jacket and trousers, gloves, goggles and a warm layer underneath, with a thin hat or buff under the helmet.
- A lift pass. It is not included in the lesson.
- Breakfast, and sun cream on any skin the helmet and goggles leave showing.
- Arrive five to ten minutes early, kit on.
- Tell us about allergies, fears or health conditions when you book, not at the lift.

A private lesson for your child, any day of the season, up to 4 children on one lesson. The Kids Club is a class, booked by the seat.
Three club days or more and every day costs less — a whole week, or the three days you are here for. Tell us your dates and we post a club for each of them, same friends, same instructor.
What ages do you teach?
Children from 3 to 15. From 16, a rider joins the adult lessons.
What is the Kids Club, and how much is it?
A day on the snow in a small group, 4 children at most with one instructor. The full day is 6 hours with a break, for ₾650. The morning only is 3 hours, for ₾350.
How much is a kids private lesson?
90 minutes from ₾340, 3 hours from ₾580 for one child. Brothers and sisters can share it.
Where do we meet?
A Kids Club is posted for the dates you ask for, at The Shop and New Gudauri, so pick the one that suits you when you book. If you pick our shop, you can meet the instructor at Gudauri Lodge instead. Private lessons meet where suits you: pick one of our meeting points when you book.
What level is the Kids Club for?
Mostly first-timers. If your child already skis well, tell us when you book: if other children at the same level are coming on the same dates, we run a club for them too.
Can my child snowboard?
For children under 10 we suggest skiing, or a private snowboard lesson. Tell us your dates anyway: if other children want to snowboard on the same days, they can ride together.
What language is the club taught in?
The language you choose when you book. That is the language of the lesson.
What about equipment?
Please bring your own or rent: skis, boots, and helmet (mandatory)
What about lunch at the Kids Club?
The class stops for 60 minutes between the two halves. Bring cash for lunch — children are supervised throughout
Is a helmet included in children's rental?
Yes. A child who rents equipment at our shop gets a helmet with it at no extra cost.
What should my child wear?
A ski jacket and trousers, gloves, goggles and a warm layer underneath, with a thin hat or buff under the helmet. Anything you don't have can be rented at our shop.
Can I watch my child's lesson?
Yes, from the side of the slope. Most children concentrate better when their parents are not right beside them, so watch from a little way off.
What if my child gets tired?
The instructor stays with them and calls you. We have no rest room for children, so a child who is done for the day is collected by a parent or guardian.
Do you have private lessons?
Yes. A private lesson is an hour and a half or three hours, for up to 4 children with one instructor.
